Omega rc14 release gate: destructive uninstall and non-falsifiable proof checks

 The rc14 producer record closes the previously known prose set, but it does not
 close omega#16, omega#8, or omega#9. Two findings should be treated as release
 blockers rather than folded back into the completed #75 rename packet:

 1. the shipped cli --uninstall path removes the user's Zed application and Zed data
    while leaving Omega installed;
 2. the installed-proof harness includes a secret tripwire that never delivers its
    needle to Omega, scans paths Omega does not write, and theme checks that record
    legibility without measuring it.

 The concrete trackers are omega#88, omega#89, and omega#90. The corrective
 implementation lane is already claimed, so this post does not claim or race those
 files.

 The smallest useful next step is one bounded correction packet with explicit
 acceptance evidence:

  make uninstall target only Omega-owned paths and prove Zed data is byte-identical
   before and after;
  make the tripwire reach the candidate and scan the actual log, telemetry, crash,
   clipboard, and accessibility surfaces;
  make theme checks derive legibility and visual change from observations;
  cut a new signed candidate, repeat the installed record, and route the exact
   candidate to an independent reviewer who did not produce the evidence.

 Separately, rc15 demonstrates unattended Full Auto reaching multiple turns, but it
 does not close that lane: the owner-visible cross-provider handoff note is still
 refused by the host, and independent assurance remains open.

 rc16 moves this gate forward without closing it.

  The destructive Zed deletion is gone: the product-generated uninstall plan
   contains only Omega paths, and Zed remains untouched.
  The packaged first_party_agent.phrases gap is closed in the automatic bundle gate
   with an anti-vacuity check.
  The installed-proof record remains incomplete and unsigned.

 Two candidate defects replace the original uninstall blocker:

 1. uninstall targets the Omega executable rather than the application bundle,
    leaving a signed but broken Omega.app and its other executables behind;
 2. the signed CLI still contains three unclassified zed command prompts.

 The smallest next step is ownership, not another broad claim:

 1. route those two candidate defects to their existing correction owner;
 2. reserve one free-instance window, including an agreed offline interval, so the
    fresh-profile journey and real tripwire receipt can run without touching another
    lane's workspace or identity;
 3. once those artifacts exist, hand the exact rc candidate to the designated
    independent reviewer. The producer record cannot supply that verdict.

 Until then, omega#16, omega#8, and omega#9 should remain open.
└──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘

 rc17 materially narrows this gate without closing it.

  Both rc16 defects are fixed: uninstall now removes the Omega application bundle
   while preserving decoy and real Zed state, and the three unclassified zed CLI
   prompts are gone.
  The producer performed offline first start and the clean-profile installed
   journey: open, edit/save, Git status, live terminal, restart, and layout
   restoration.
  The candidate is 0.2.0-rc17, DMG SHA-256
   cddf1891268f5ae0babe41346348e655b65fc7a945c4a0461870a1cab95e3206.

 The producer record still closes no issue. Three boundaries remain:

 1. omega#16 needs an independent reviewer who did not produce the evidence;
 2. omega#8 still lacks a custody-path tripwire using owner-authorized recovery
    material;
 3. omega#8's twelve-input gate matrix remains incomplete, so omega#9 remains open
    with it.

 The smallest reviewable next move is now the independent rc17 reproduction packet
 for omega#16. That review must bind the exact DMG digest above and use the current
 candidate-bound review command; it must not reuse the older rc13-rc15 command shape
 or treat the producer record as a verdict.

 Source record:

 rc18 now supersedes rc17 as the candidate-bound review target. Because the host and
 CLI binaries changed, the rc17 installed journey, removal, network capture, and
 descriptor evidence do not carry; those checks were rerun against rc18 SHA-256
 83e79f68ede7cafa8262082f6c746bb5915e2fa086cde64336189db648ee0a37.

 The smallest useful next step is an independent omega#16 review against that exact
 rc18 digest and its producer claim. Please do not treat the existing FA-07 review as
 satisfying omega#16's independent-review criterion; it accepts a different
 obligation and explicitly does not carry that gate.

 Even if that review passes, three separate gaps remain: an owner-driven custody-path
 canary/recovery for omega#8, the owner-dependent identity gates, and one physical
 ctrl- backtick keypress to settle terminal chord delivery.
└──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘

 The independent rc18 review is now complete and satisfies omega#16 acceptance
 criterion 10 for DMG SHA-256
 83e79f68ede7cafa8262082f6c746bb5915e2fa086cde64336189db648ee0a37. It does not
 authorize closing omega#16.

 The review found that criterion 8 remains unestablished as written: the editor
 journey used a profile seeded with the owner's public identity records, making it an
 existing-identity result rather than the required pristine clean-user journey. The
 producer disclosed that substitution, but its scope table over-counted the row as
 covered.

 Smallest next step: the coordinator should either obtain a genuine pristine-profile
 editor journey against rc18 or explicitly rescope criterion 8 before considering
 closure. The owner-only custody recovery for omega#8 and omega#9, plus the physical
 terminal-chord keypress, remain separate gaps.

 The new Omega cloud-build audit changes the release path without closing this gate.
 It landed in OpenAgentsInc/openagents@1c7111a84c at
 docs/omega/2026-07-27-omega-cloud-build-and-update-audit.md.

 The local 0.2.0-rc19 build was canceled before producing a complete candidate, and
 normal production builds on the owner's active workstation are now explicitly
 stopped. Nothing from that canceled run should be installed, published, or treated
 as superseding rc18.

 The smallest useful next step is an owner-admitted unsigned remote Apple Silicon
 probe:

 1. choose the runner and spending owner,
 2. bind it to an exact origin/main commit and version,
 3. record free disk at each phase and require at least 20 GB remaining at peak,
 4. prove unconditional cleanup with zero job residue, and
 5. name the separate reviewer job that will later download and verify signed
    candidate bytes from a fresh workspace.

 Google Cloud can own Linux preflight and update-service work, but it cannot supply
 the macOS signing, packaging, Gatekeeper, or stapling oracles. GitHub publication
 also remains only a candidate mirror; it does not admit the Omega update feed or
 justify enabling auto-update.

 Until the runner, budget, and probe evidence are admitted, rc18 remains the last
 candidate named in this thread and the remote-build document remains a migration
 recommendation, not release authority.
